From Friday, July 1st (4 pm) to Thursday, July 7th (morning)
Briançon, Hautes-Alpes, France
Postponed twice due to the health crisis, the July2022 event is planned as the 2020 one. It is going to take place in the Southern Alps of France.
We will be accommodated in a residential Centre in Briançon (12 000 inhabitants). Briançon is the highest city in Europe (1300 m above sea level) and enjoys an exceptional sunny climate.
The town is surrounded by very well kept fortresses dating from Vauban, a famous 17th century architect, and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The old town conveys a certain charm with its narrow medieval streets and offers a variety of views on mountain ranges.
Briançon is very close to Italy with the impressive passes of Galibier, Lautaret and Izoard. It is also the starting point for numerous hikes in the National Parc des Ecrins, the Queyras Regional Park and the Nevache, Guisane and Vallouise valleys.
Grenoble and Torino are only a 100 kilometres away and Genova and Marseille about 250 kilometres away.
